I can't speak to percentages, there is certainly more going on here than I know or understand. All I can do is speak for myself. I chose this site to hopefully meet someone that comes from a world I am used to. I do not desire a dime from anyone. I just want to meet someone accomplished, secure emotionally and financially. I don't want to listen to any whining about money. That is not why I am here. Surely I am inexperienced in all things internet dating, however I felt the need to speak up. Money is not all. I just do not want to wade through a morass of people that are uncomfortable in a world that I come from.

Quoting BrownB09

Good evening Pat, hehehe this is true. Conservatives and Liberals:) I was just fooling around a with an assumption that there are mainly conservatives here....rocking the house a bit:) After reading a few past blogs I see this clearly isnt the case.

Oh, dear.  It sounds as if we get political on here, we're going to become enemies.  I do not need any more enemies than I already have.  POLITICS TO THE WAYSIDE, S FAR AS YOU AND I ARE CONCERNED---OKAY????????????????????????????????

As far as I know, you are new to the blogs----welcome to BLAHGLAND.  GOOFYVILLE, INSANITY TOWN.

I hope you have a ton of fun on here.....We're all a big bunch of "nuts" for sure.

Have fun....and the best of luck in love.  Just stay SAFE on here.  If you ever suspect sometihing is wrong with a contact---email MM Counselor.  She will fix everything for you for sure.  [As long as you follow her advice....]

I am sure there are some women on here to meet a wealthy man, but it seems like you pay a price for wanting that.  Heaven forbid if some of these women ever gained a pound or got a wrinkle.  They would be out the door so fast it would make their head spin.  I personally have noticed that most of the men on this website are looking for women that look good physically so they can show them off to their friends and say "hey, look what I got."  I think that is sad.  I think it is even more sad that a women would put up with it just to have a guy that made a little bit of money.  I think many people on this site have very high expectations because it is called Millionaire Match.  They need to get their head out of the clouds and look for someone they want to wake up to every morning and spend all of their time with.  They should be looking for a best friend to get them through the ups and downs, not a show pony.

where were you ziplining, Bill ? Is that Coasta Rica ?

That photo is from an outing to the mainland of Belize, Shaz. The Jaimster and I took a day off from diving in Ambergris Caye and did that and some cave tubing which was also a cool experience. They have great ziplining in Costa Rica as well. I ziplined in Jaco, C.R.

I signed up for this site for this concept or site had been advertised and an representative spoke passionately about MillionaireMatch.com. I signed up a long while ago and I wonder myself why? What makes this meeting site different from other similar sites? Are the men any different on this site? Does this mean men can have their pick of the litter and treat women any way they would like to. Are men looking for a trophy and a woman just for show. Are their hearts into meeting that true love or at least trying? Is it a site to meet women to have sex with? Why men do you like MillionaireMatch.com?

That's quite an elaborate and interesting concept of money you have Alberto. From my perspective money is a commodity. Nothing more or less. It's a product to be bought and sold. And what a great product it is. Money never spoils. It never goes out of style. It will follow directions without question and work for you 24/7. You can crumple it up, singe it, rip off the edges, tear it in half and Scotch tape it back together and it will still retain it's face value. What other product behaves like that??? The problem is most people spend their whole lives working for their money. The smart people figure out how to get their money working for them...

It is about money - given its name, I mean!

However that doesn't really respond to the question - in fact, once determined by its very same name that it's about money, we have not determined with certainty yet what is that perople see in that money. And once at this stage of the question, laNegrita12 is probably right: it's subjective.

Money is a catalyst: it interrogates your being: how are you going to deal with this thing that indeed corrupts and that at the same time provides means of doing things, imagining you as one who has it or as one who hasn't it? For money can corrupt you in both stations.

It was one of the temptations of Christ, you know - therefore, being able to provide an answer to this question is paramount.

The truth being that the only appropriated attitude towards money is that one ought to hate it: one has to make one's way towards this conclusion, or towards the inability or lack of courage to draw it, or towards the hipochrisy of pretending you wouldn't like to have the money you despise.
So, it's a moral pursuit.

Can money buy you or can't it?
Are you going to use people as chattels or aren't you? can you?

Most of the times the answer should be in the affirmative, so it seems futile a question. But again, it is by struggling a lifetime with a futile question, that you can make an accomplished character.

As for me, I am personally unable to be a sycophant so, obviously, I will never court money. Actually I hate it. I would destroy it. But it's not money, actually - it's persons. Remove every penny from them, and they will make a calf their idol all the same. As a matter of fact Christ wasn't tempted with money, but with _power_ (assuming it entails money).
I was here years ago and it was a very lively place, and more polite than others - dunno why. It may have to do with the fact we aren't actually dealing with millionaires (those, are unsupportable - and they know it)

IMHO...I look at this site as a window place of ideas shared by very interesting people from all walks of life. It's nurturing for me to be able to discuss various topics with people I've met here; I must say I've learned a lot from those I'll call the wise ones. It's been very refreshing for the soul.

Should I happen to meet someone to develop a long-term relationship with, even better. But I am not relying on MM for this, the site is moreso a vehicle for robust discussions (the good, the bad & of course the ugly).

Recently I read a quote from Elenaor Rosevelt who said, "Great minds discuss ideas, average minds discuss events, small minds discuss people."  On this site I've met and seen comments from a lot of great minds!

This site is whatever someone makes it into just like most things in life. I tend to try to enjoy situations rather than analyzing every little thing. Too much analysis takes the fun out of what ever it is that one is doing. If it feels good and it is legal; I just do it...

Michael,
My goodness, very interesting questions.  I can only speak for myself.  I was "turned onto" this site a couple of weeks ago by someone I was chatting with.  I thought, "Well, if I meet someone great, if not ok."  I think that in my case, I want to meet someone who is doing something outstanding with their lives.  Not to say that I'm not, my work impacts people in a very postive way.  BUT, someone who is doing something other than I am.
A premise of the site is to meet men or women who are successful.  Now what the real question should be is.. if you meet a person who is "worldy" more sucessful than you, how can you ADD to the situation?  Personally, I know that I have qualities, education and experience that could help my partner professionally and emotionally.  Basically an asset.  I think that a woman, or really either side of the relationship coin, should assess what they are bringing BEFORE meeting someone.  It's not up to the other person to define you.
And wealth and money DO NOT equal class.

I agree with Bill, Michael.  I think this site is whatever you make it into for yourself--within the bounds of decency, etc., of course.  Too much analyzing spoils the fun.  Leave that for the archeologists of the 25th century.
Bill's photo says it all, really.  Look at the "spot" Bill's engaged in as being MM.  If he stopped to analyze what he's doing hanging from the cable, he'd not only spoil his fun, he just might fall out of the picture.

Great shot, Bill.  You surely are the great adventurer.

I suspect it might be any of those possibilities depending on the person. Some might want to step up to wealth, culture, sophistication. Others may want to relax with someone who does not aspire to higher culture, wealth, sophistication, or what have you. Most likely you have as many shades and combinations as there are people on the site.
